The Nathaniel Inn is located in Historic Gordonsville. A quaint town just north of Charlottesville, Virginia. The Inn provides a unique experience by offering you the hospitality of boutique hotel with the privacy of a vacation rental to serve your central Virginia travel needs. The Inn consists of the Nathaniel House which contains three suites and the next-door Gordon Cottage which can be reserved as individual suites or all together allowing maximum flexibility to fit your group. The house was built in 1874 by a well known local brick mason, William Routt, and has been lovingly restored to echo back to the culture of Gordonsville in the 1700s and the original Gordon Tavern that stood nearby and served those traveling by carriage and later by train through Virginia. You'll enjoy upscale and modern accommodations designed to fit individuals, couples, families and groups.

The Nathaniel House
The Gordon Cottage
The most historic section of the house, this suite has two levels. Two king bedrooms, one and a half baths, an office, living room, dining room and kitchen.
The detached cottage has two cozy queen bedrooms, one bath, an open concept kitchen and living room and a lovely front porch for sipping morning coffee.
The Mary Beale Suite has one king bed, one bath and a office sitting area with pull out couch for two more guests.
Our Inn accommodations include the Nathaniel House, Individual Suites in the House and the Gordon Cottage. The House contains three independent suites each with their own private entrances. There is plenty of parking on and off street and a shared laundry room is available. The Mary Beale Suite has one king bed, one bath and an office sitting area with pull out couch for two more guests.

The detached cottage has two cozy queen bedrooms, one bath and an open concept fully equipped kitchen and living room.
The William Routt Suite
The William Routt Suite has one king bed, one bath and two reading chairs to plan your daily activities.
Coffee and Tea
Starbucks coffee and tea are available for your morning routine. Complete with cream and sugar.
Out back you will find a shared yard and access to neighborhood streets and nearby parks to take in the fresh air or stretch your legs.
Just down the street you will have access to a coffee shop bakery, a french restaurant and the famous BBQ Exchange.
The property has Wifi available throughout all rooms and on grounds. Log in directions will be given upon check in.

Also down the street are wonderful boutique shops and antique stores. They are only a 10 min walk down Main St.
THINGS TO DO
The area boasts over 100 wineries, breweries and distilleries. We can recommend day trips and routes at your request or coordinate a chauffeur.
Central Virginia is home to many historic Presidential Homes, including those of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. In town you'll also find the Exchange Hotel, known for its use during the Civil War.
Blacksmiths, potters, painters and other craftsman are located in the area and have their shops open to visitors. Ask for recommendations.
With the Shenandoah National Park just a short drive away, you'll have access to great hiking and mountain views. Or take in the outside on the golf course or the water with a river float or kayak trip.
Charlottesville is home to great local restaurants. From Asian, Italian to high end French there is a restaurant for any palate.

Apples, Peaches, Berries and Lavender and Sunflower farms are nearby offering you an enjoyable afternoon of picking and tasting. Ask for what's in season during your visit.
